A 'weighty' issue

Today little Finn is 11 weeks old.
11 weeks ago my ol' body was the size of a house.
BUT - 11 weeks ago I thought I looked FAB, although I was having trouble walking, and climbing the stairs was close to impossible!
I was rocking lycra, tight was right and I was proud of my bump-o-rama.
Today i feel chubby, wobbly quite frankly a bit ugg.
Weird isn't it?
Don't get me wrong, I am so proud of what this body has achieved.
To grow little humans inside me - wow - out there! That's pretty cool.
It's just, I've never had trouble with my weight before. So 'clothes as camouflage' is new to me.
I want to embrace my wobbly bits, really I do, and love this stretched, tired, scarred bod.
But, I also want to feel like 'me' again.
I think things will start coming together once I have had my surgery. I have a date booked for it, 25th June. Already feeling a little freaked out! But it will be fine, fine.
Also, when I stop breast feeding in a few months I will begin to feel a bit more normal, as right now I am food every 3 hours, 24/7.
Oh and getting some decent sleep will help!
I am just in a bit of a funk at the mo.
I am determined to be kinder to myself, as of right now.
The people who matter, Rich, Max & Finn, think I look great!
Truly, I am blessed beyond.

Ten of the best - Plates

Oh la la!
Gotta love these fab dinner plates from Anthro.
(Anthropologie and I are are on first name terms now ha!)
I can't decide whether I like the poodle, the french man or the eiffel tower best.
Your meals will never be without a touch of Parisian whimsy. Depicting both the traditional and the kooky, these charming plates are Anthropologie exclusives from French designer Nathalie Lete.
They are all brilliant. Oui, oui I must have one of each!

My top ten plates all available at Anthropologie for around £24 each.

P.S. Okay I have decided I am actually in love with the 'Pomme' plate, the cute apple one. Sooooo do I get 6 of those or mix and match? Would love your feed back.
Merci beaucoup!

Garden Goodness

Spent a lazy sunny day chilling in the back garden with the boys.
Max made a zoo with his animals and blocks.
Finn grinned at his crazy brother all day.
Sweet.

Is it sunny where you are?

Don't wait to create.....

Or, creating your dream home even when you are renting.
This space is the rented home of Ariele Alasko & Isaiah Palmer.
I love it's thrifted, hand crafted feel. It's personal vibe. And the fact it's as neat as a pin. (Something which is hard to achieve these days with two kidlets!)
See more over at Design Sponge.

Pouring the slab

Part two of my 'what we do' posts.
Number 98 is coming along nicely.
The big boss (Max) was at the site on Friday afternoon, keeping our lovely client Sally company, while the concrete slab of the new basement was poured.

The big concrete pumping truck arrives at the site......

Max & our lovely client watching the proceedings......

The slab is done, so now the fun stuff (in my opinion!!!) can start.
Interiors, interiors!

Feeling it!

I'm feeling the summer goodness and loving it!
London put on a cracker day today.
Max, Finn and I enjoyed the fruits of our labour after blitzing the garden and hanging up our stripy bunting......

Back on the sofa now!

A very stripy summer!

Definitely obsessing over all these items of stripy goodness!
I would dearly LOVE one of these sun shelters for our back garden, but I will settle for a couple of strings of bunting and maybe the vintage deck chair sign.
See the whole range at the deckchairstripes website.
